Saturday’s Rock!

I love Saturdays. Why? Mainly because I can sit at my computer for hours and not be bothered. I can sit and either play Halo for a few hours to begin my day or sit and work on web design and take Halo breaks.

Today has been no different. I woke up at noon, played Halo until 2pm, got dressed and make a quick run to Gardners’ Market to get lunch. Grabbing two subs (one for today and one for tomorrow) I go home, eat, then begin on some work.

After working for several hours, I take a nap, woke up and played more Halo with some friends. Time to go to sleep. I am exhausted!

Farm House

In Cleveland, TN, we are blessed to have many fantastic restaurants in town. Many of them are the usual chain restaurants, the Chilis, Applebees, Panera, but some of them are Cleveland-only. The mom and pop places that I frequent in Cleveland on an almost weekly basis are: Farm House, The Spot, and Gardners’ Market.

Stepping into Gardners’ is like stepping back in time. Old candy and other treats abound indoors. Plus their subs are too amazing! I usually get a foot long and take it back to my apartment to scarf it down, but on occasion I eat inside. It’s usually nice and quiet.

The Spot is great if you have a few friends and don’t want to spend that much money. I’d recommend the chili dog and french fries. Top that off with their Frosty (it existed before Wendy’s).

Now the reason I titled this solely Farm House is because that is where I ate tonight. With a bunch of friends. The food just surprises me so much that I can pay for the same amount there but twice at a place like Chilis or Applebees. They have a new menu every day of changing vegetables and main entrées. Highly recommend Farm House.

Over the course of the article I could have linked to any one of these restaurants’ websites. Sadly, none exist. I have seen several students over the years make a website for each restaurant, but none of them end up on the web. To remind myself of their hours, I take a picture using my cell phone of their front door. Maybe I should just create small sites for each restaurant. That could help all of us out.
