Totally ripped off an Easter play a few years ago at my church. This is of course my first introductory blog post for this new blog. I should first start off with a little back-story.

I began blogging in 2002. May 21, 2002 to be exact. I had to find a way into the LiveJournal closed beta. At the time LJ only allowed new members if they retrieved a invite code through another member. I had a few friends but no luck. All their keys were gone. I finally obtained one and started shortly there after. The first few blog posts were just an introduction to me. I stopped regularly blogging October 2007. With a near three year absence under my belt I want to return. I want to record my thoughts, my emotions, my take on life.

That is the purpose of this blog. Life and my comments therein.

On my Twitter I have 5 adjectives that describe me: student, blogger, gamer, Sinfonian, and web designer.

Student

First and foremost I love learning. I have been in college long enough to claim that. It has been a long road and a few rest stops along the way, but I am embarking on my final senior year at Lee University. When I first was planning the creation of this blog I had wanted to make this a senior year blog. However, I found that focus to be too light. What happens when I continue to blog outside of my classes, or even once I am done with school? I chose the generic “blog” title.

I am a Computer Information Systems Student. I love computers. I was once a Music Education major, primary focus on cello for a number of years, but have since switched. It got to be where I spent more time on a computer than my cello. I was given the advice that if I said I wanted to be a music major yet I did not practice every day, then I am a liar. It took a while for that to sink in. But now I am as happy as ever.

Blogger

Yes, I have been on a slight downturn when it has come to blogging in the last few years, but I hope that has changed when the installation of this blog.

Gamer

My primary box of enjoyment is the XBOX360. I had got my x360 that first Christmas after it had shipped. But it wasn’t until February 15, 2006, that I found my new home on the web, with Seasoned Gamers. A group of like-minded individuals that enjoy playing games and don’t mind losing a time or two. My guilty pleasures are Halo, Rock Band, and WWE Smackdown games.

Sinfonian

I am a member of the Pi Xi Chapter of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonian Fraternity. I was inducted in Spring of 2006 and have enjoyed my time while involved in various roles over my collegiate status in the Sinfonia.
