It’s odd, I wanted to at least make a new post each week, and I held my own for a while, but since have either had writers’ block or I have been too busy. Two excuses that do not go well together. So where have I been? Well, the semester ended and I was burnt out of all things school-wise. I began on a redesign and subsequent re-redesign, changes and updating WordPress to 2.7 on some clients that I can. Learning new plugins. It’s been a fun ride.

I have always wondered if others look at a site and for fun, create a new version for it. Maybe a CSS-Flip version? Hmm. There are times I come across sites in my area (college area at least) that I wonder what I could do with it. Another thing, I seem to find WordPress running more sites than I do other Content Management Systems. Granted they are not big sites, but it’s interesting.

Tragedy struck the second week of December as the old website server at Duluth failed. The hard drive crashed and the backups the IT team were running, well, sucked. A lot of information was lost and I have been working on restoring as much as I can. The interesting thing about the backups is that there are some new pages there but there are some pages and files that haven’t been there for months or even a year. I am glad to some extent I have a few screen grabs of the things I’ve done I have left on my computer here.

I have tons of plans and another post in the works detailing the year ahead for me and my plans in the next few months.
